This enhanced care solution provides a push button alarm pendant allowing the dependant person to make a video call for assistance at the push of a button.
The carer is also able to make a video call directly to the Camera Unit at their own discretion at any time and from any location, provided an appropriate 3G Mobile Phone signal is present.
The alarm pendant is ergonomically designed to be hand held or can be hung from a suitable necklace (lanyard), belt, or key ring using the attached cord and ring provided. It must be carried around on the person of the individual who needs assistance from the carers.
In the event of an emergency, a single press of the button (B1) on the alarm pendant activates BiBCam that will immediately initiate a video call to the warden or carer.
Up to four carer phone numbers can be pre-defined to access the Camera Unit. Each number will be set a priority from 1 to 4. Number 1 will be called first, number 2 second, etc.
The calls are made in a pre-programmed order of preference, for example, if the initial video call to the first number fails, then the Camera Unit initiates the voice call or SMS to the first number.
The Camera Unit design allows for audio and video communication with front facing holes for the lens of the camera (Hole H1), the connection light (Hole H2), the Microphone (Holes H3), the loud speaker (Holes H4). The power cord fits in to the Socket at the base of the Camera Unit through Hole 5, at the bottom of the case.
Communication between all devices contained in the Guardian package is completely wireless.
The Camera Unit is powered by a mains charger and should be connected to the power supply.
